Who we are
Brothers Ken and Peter Cohen co-founded Trillium Enterprises in 1989. Ever since their days as students at UC Santa Barbara, it had been their dream to start a construction company. After graduating and gaining experience as Supervisors and Foremen for a local General Contractor, Ken and Peter knew it was time to branch out and start a family business of their own.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara. He currently resides in Santa Barbara with his wife, two sons, and their two dogs. In his free time Ken enjoys coaching his sonsí soccer teams, taking their dogs to the beach, running, and restoring historical buildings.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Econometrics from UC Santa Barbara. An avid traveler, Peter lived in Japan for five years where he attended a Japanese language program and taught English. In his free time Peter enjoys physical fitness, caring for his cats, going to the movies, reading, and maintaining his saltwater aquarium and Koi pond.
Tammy is a California native and has been a resident of Santa Barbara for nearly 20 years.† In 1991 she came to Santa Barbara to pursue her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at UC Santa Barbara.† After finishing school, she was employed by various Santa Barbara based companies, where she focused on both office and property management including all aspects of accounting practices.† † Since joining Trillium Enterprises in 2002, Tammy has continued to increase her knowledge and lend her accounting expertise while remaining versatile to the changing residential and commercial construction industry.† Her hobbies include health & physical fitness, reading, and spending time with her son Ryan along with their two cats Sam and Stella.
Human Resources Director
Elizabeth has been the Human Resources Director at Trillium Enterprises since 2008. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Elizabeth graduated from Santa Barbara High School and attended UC Santa Barbara where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society. She graduated with honors from Santa Barbara City College where she received an associate degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management and Liberal Studies. Prior to her work at Trillium, Elizabeth has worked as a Stylist, Human Resources Administrator, and Senior Loan Coordinator. She also holds her Real Estate License and is a licensed Cosmetologist. When not working, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her four young children.
Zac's interest in the construction industry was piqued in 2001 while spending a year working as an AmeriCorps member building homes with Habitat for Humanity in Columbus, GA. Subsequently, Zac attended California State University of Long Beach, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and a minor in Anthropology. During his summers, he continued to expand his knowledge and skills in the construction field, working various jobs in Palo Alto, CA where he grew up. After college, Zac took a position as the Construction Manager of New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. In that capacity, he spent two years overseeing a large staff and thousands of volunteers in building more than two hundred houses for low-income families that had been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Zac joined the Trillium team in 2008, and seeks to further develop his managerial skills and experience in the field with the company. When Zac isnít hard at work he enjoys a variety of sports including basketball, golf, snowboarding, tennis, and kickball.
Executive Assistant & Property Manager
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Rebecca received a BA in Communication, with an emphasis in Advertising from the University of San Francisco. In 2008 Rebecca left the City and followed her heart to Santa Barbara where she joined the Trillium team as Executive Assistant and Property Manager. Prior to her time with Trillium Rebecca worked in residential Real Estate, Marketing, and Advertising for non-profit organizations. In her free time Rebecca enjoys travel, floral design and other creative art/design projects.
Bridget is a San Francisco Bay Area native who, like many, could not imagine leaving Santa Barbara after graduating from UCSB. Throughout her years here, Bridget was inspired by the proactive community and environment which encouraged her to volunteer for local non-profit organizations and campus groups. With her experience in customer service and English degree in tow, Bridget became a part of the Trillium family joining the team as the Administrative Assistant in 2013. When not spending time with family and friends, she spends her spare time staying active by going on hikes, attending Zumba classes and going on bike rides along the beach and harbor.
Originally from the Los Angeles area, Susie has been living in Santa Barbara for over 25 years. In 2006 Susie joined Trillium Enterprises as the Bookkeeping Assistant. Susie continues to expand her knowledge of Accounting by taking classes at SB City College. Susie is mother to two beautiful sons, 13 year old Jordan and 6 year old Drew. During her free time she enjoys watching basketball, going on hikes, and attending her sonís soccer games.
